Educational Ethics: A Field-Launching Conference -- POSTPONED

NOTE: Due to coronavirus restrictions, this event is being postponed until sometime during the 2020-2021 academic year.   We will post the new dates here when we determine them (likely not until late spring or summer 2020).  If you would like to receive notification about the new conference dates, feel free to register for the conference below and we will e-mail you when we know more.

We are excited to announce Educational Ethics: A Field-Launching Conference, to be held May 1-2, 2020 at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) in Cambridge, MA.

The goal of this conference is to build a global field of educational ethics, modeled in some ways after bioethics, that is philosophically rigorous, disciplinarily and experientially inclusive, and both relevant to and informed by educational policy and practice.

The full program can be found here. Information about lodging and traveling to Cambridge can be found on the Lodging page.

We are also hosting an April 30 Graduate Student Workshop, led by Harry Brighouse and Randall Curren, that will include full conference room and board costs. Apply by Feb. 21!

Thanks to generous support from the Spencer Foundation, HGSE, and the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics there is no cost to register for the conference, but registration is required.

We are also pleased to announce two additional events related to the conference:

April 30, 2020: HGSE Centennial Series Future of Education panel on Higher Education Ethics in a Global Context (info coming soon)

May 3-4, 2020: International Normative Case Study Workshop and Network Initiative
